WORCESTER MASS. U.S.A. PAT'D APRIL &. JULY 20,.1886. MAY 10. 1887 OCT.16.1888 probably only produced in 1888 and production was under 5000. The gun was sold by J.P. Lovell Co. The Swift with and without hammer, .38 S&W caliber, 5 shot revolver, double action, production started in 1890. When stopped can not been said some belief in 1895 when the agreement with J.P. Loveel Co. ended or only in 1900. How many were produced can not been said. Iver Johnson had a daily production capacity of more as 2000 revolvers. Therefore there were certainly 200000 or 300000 guns manufactured. Serial number started from 1 to 100000 and restarted again at 1 at every 100000. The Swift was also sold by J.P. Lovell Co.
